Academic development

The Space Syntax Laboratory at University College London is the internationally-renowned home of academic research, software development and teaching in the field of space syntax.

The Bartlett’s MSc Advanced Architectural Studies programme is the original┬áspace syntax course. First set up by Bill Hillier in 1974 it has been┬áteaching space syntax theory and methodology ever since.

To celebrate its 40th year, a celebration of the course will take place in London in early September 2013.
